The Orders of St John Care Trust is the 2nd largest not for profit care provider in the UK specialising in providing high quality, person centred care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing. The Poplars Care Home in the Lincolnshire Wolds!
The Poplars offers compassionate, individualised residential and dementia care. Located close to the centre of the small, vibrant market town of Market Rasen in Lincolnshire, the home’s new specialist dementia 11 bedroom household, with additional living, dining and communal areas, opened in April 2017.
Our residents' well-being and comfort is our prime focus. This means that responding to their individual needs is our top priority, so we are very proud to have received an "Outstanding" rating in this category in our recent CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection. Overall we are classed as a GOOD Care Home.
Care charity and provider The Orders of St John Care Trust are respected in the care sector for a flexible range of care provision, making the most of voluntary sector contributions to help vulnerable adults achieve a more dignified lifestyle.
We are now recruiting a Night Carer to join our team!
Care is at the heart of everything that we do. Working within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.
Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of people you are looking after. You will often be helping people with their personal needs as well as supporting them to go about their daily activities, but you will know what makes a difference to them and what helps to put a smile on their face.
Level 2 Qualification is essential
As a key member of the OSJCT Team you can expect benefits such as:
All candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS which is on the update service. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
The Government’s ‘Infection Control Fund’ (introduced as a result of the Coronavirus) requires Care homes to restrict permanent and temporary staff to working in only one care home, to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus. As a result of this, if you already have another job elsewhere (either in Care or another sector) and you wish to continue working there alongside the Trust, unfortunately we would not be able to progress with your application at this time. However, if you are happy to consider committing to working for us exclusively until the restrictions are lifted we are happy to discuss guaranteeing you the hours you will lose from not being able to work your second job. Or once the restrictions are lifted, please do not hesitate to re-apply for any of our roles that maybe of interest to you then.
